7 random facts about me and my yoga practice 🇧🇷

Thought about sharing more about my yoga practice, so here you go 🙂

1. It’s been a year that I’m practicing (almost) daily

I must’ve skipped maybe like 1 day per month since I’ve started.

2. I usually like to practice early in the morning

And I prefer to practice in silence. Birds chirping is ok though 🐦🎶 and rain too 🌦️ I find them soothing 🧘

3. I’m a stubborn person

So when I have something in mind, I’ll get obsessed about it until my body is too sore and tells me to stop 😂 It happened with headstand and pincha for example.

4. I can practice from 10 min to 2 hs per day.

Although 2h rarely happen these days. In average I think I’m practicing for 1h.

5. I have right shoulder impingement

Which means chaturanga is the worst for me and I’ve been avoiding it in my sun salutations. I’m trying to fix it with some exercises using a resistance band. So far so good. I’m feeling better already after a week of practice 😊

6. I practiced on my own for a month before going to my first yoga class in Paris

Then I went there once per week for a couple of months. Now since we are in Brazil, I’m only practicing on my own and I don’t follow any online classes. I just get some inspiration on IG and if I want to learn more about an asana I check Google or YouTube.

7. I’m neither flexible nor strong by nature

To be honest, I hated sports at school 😂 I did some 🏃‍♀️ running competitions from 2012 to 2015 (like 7km or 10km). Then I came back at running every 2 or 3 days on 2018 but it was only during warm weather. Then I would stop for winter 🥶 And when 🌱 spring came back that’s when I had my knee injury and when I decided to start this yoga journey.
