I decided to remove Youtube from my homescreen

I realized it had become an addiction.

I would click on the app then scroll down for new recommendations or check if there was anything new with the accounts I’m following.

Once I was done, I would come back few minutes later and do the same damn thing.

At first I thought I could control myself without changing anything.

But the moment I was bored, there I was again on the app, searching for something interesting to watch. And since I’m checking it regularly, it became more and more rare for me to find something worth watching.

So recently I decided to remove it from my phone’s homescreen.

I still have the app on my phone though.

Although I only need to slide once then click twice to check Youtube again, those 3 extra steps are actually enough to stop my addiction.

Sometimes wanting something to happen is not enough. In my case, I thought I could count on my willpower but nope… I had to do something to prevent me from getting back on the app impulsively.

It may or may not work for you.

But if you really wanna stop your addiction, I’m sure you’ll find a way that works for you.
